Heritage

1979
The inceptionOur story begins with our founder, Y. Rama Mohan Rao, who established MacMohan Pharma alongside a team of ten Indian doctors.
2008
OncologyWe turned our manufacturing toward cancer treatment: chemotherapy, biotech recombinant products and novel drug delivery systems. Oncology and haematology are still the core of what we make.
2014
Lazerhead LifesciencesWe established Lazerhead Lifesciences to carry that manufacturing into our own range of branded medicines.
Today
Our medicines are made at Jadcherla and Jeedimetla in Telangana, at facilities designed and operated to EU-GMP and US FDA standards.

Portfolio

Our catalogue runs to 151 products across five therapeutic areas: oncology, haematology, general care, supportive care and critical care. We make them in eight dosage forms: injections, tablets, capsules, softgel capsules, oral solutions, topical creams, inhalation solutions and oral suspensions. Of these products, 20 are still in development.

Corporate social responsibility

  • more than80%of children with cancer are cured in high-income countries
  • less than30%in most low- and middle-income countries

Source: World Health Organization

A child diagnosed with cancer in a high-income country has more than an 80% chance of being cured. In most low- and middle-income countries, the World Health Organization puts it below 30%. Closing that gap, starting here in India, is where we direct our charitable work.

Medicines
We supply life-saving medicines to NGOs treating children who could not otherwise afford them.
Care around treatment
We help fund nutrition, safe accommodation, laboratory services, nursing care and blood products for children going through treatment.
Beyond treatment
We organise events for these children and their families: moments of normality during months that have very little of it.
